Description
Max’s grandfather, Walter Thompson, was brilliant. The Quantum Stabilizer, was meant to harness near-limitless energy.
But there was a catch.
Walter’s invention was never properly tested. However, in secret, Walter had built a prototype and activated it. At first, the effects were invisible—nothing seemed to change. The world continued as usual. But in Max’s time, a decade later, the Earth was unraveling.
The Quantum Stabilizer slowed down decay in some places while accelerating it in others. The delicate balance of the planet’s ecosystems collapsed. Time itself had been subtly distorted—weather patterns became unpredictable. Some people theorized that the arrow of time itself was starting to bend, causing bizarre temporal anomalies across the planet. Some cities eroded centuries before they should have, while others were preserved in an unnatural stasis.
Max had spent years studying old documents, trying to piece together how it all started. Every clue pointed back to one moment in history: 1980—the year Walter Thompson activated the first Quantum Stabilizer.
Now, Max had a mission. He needed to go back to 1980, find his grandfather, and stop the invention from ever being turned on.
But as he delved deeper into the physics of time travel, he realized something terrifying: even if he found his grandfather and convinced him not to activate the machine, the past could not be changed.
The only way to fix the future… was to understand why the past had to happen the way it did.
